YSGLT Kickoff on Dr. Dave's Hootenany show, 4pm, WORT 89.9fm - Immediately following - Yammer's first laundry appearance, across the street from WORT. What fun to splash and sing a laundry song!

7 pm: Self-Serve Laundry, 701 E Johnson. Thanks to the Yammer Staff Spiritualist's appearance the show went well, though patron reactions varied.

5 pm: Laundry 101, 437 W. Gilman St. Yammer was surprised by the friendly and cool staff - they even turned the music off so the Yamming could be heard. Pipes in Bb, and a bar with brew - what more could you want?...

noon: Quick Wash, 220 N. Bassett this gig featured Yammeroma Scented Dryer Sheets and WORT stickers on every dryer thanks to Glen G! Luckily, Kia rounded up the Yammer throngs who were a few days ahead of themselves...

HALFTIME SHOW: YSGLT Finale: Parktowne Speed Queen Laundry, 306 S. Brearly, near Gumby's (and Bongo Video / Bahn Thai), just off Williamson. Yammer will begin shortly after half time begins, concluding in short order as per usual. All this laundry makes us say: "Go Pack!"
In late August and early September, Yammer will hit a half-dozen laundromats with guerrilla performances of lean, clean Yammer songs. The band will play with no amplification: they'll harmonize and bang above the laundry din on guitar, french horn, makeshift drums and a nearly indestructible, bastardized marimba.
Even though the beans of which laundromats Yammer will hit are pretty well spilled above, those stains can be lifted; Yammer obtains no permissions from laundromat owners and is ready at any moment to flee. Though they do encourage fans to check the schedule and do their laundry when and where Yammer appears.
Yammer will offer specially scented YAMMEROMAdryer sheets, developed by YSGLT aromatherapist Kevin May. They'll give out a dollar in free quarters each show and offer tips on folding. They'll sell the fab gorilla-graphic tour t-shirts at ridiculously low low prices. They'll musically spin, rinse and dry just for you, the bored laundromat patron.
The support staff for the tour is as extensive as any Madonna show, It includes a manager, lawyer, water chemist and many others. Check out the entire staff, with contact information.
